AMKO Systems Inc. is a leading systems house specializing in the design, manufacture,
distribution and service of continuous emission (CEMS), process and ambient air monitoring
systems. We build close relationships with our customers by supplying custom-designed
monitoring solutions and by backing our products with the best support in the business.
Our principals consist of world-renown international equipment manufacturers such as SICK
AG (gas, dust, opacity and flow monitors), Eco Physics (chemiluminescent NOx analyzers to
measure in ppt to 10 000 ppm ranges), Dasibi Environmental (ambient air analyzers), ECOM
(portable emission analyzers), KNF Neuberger (sample pumps), AGT Thermotechnik (sample
cooler/conditioners) and more.
AMKOs continuous monitoring systems are utilized throughout the power,
pulp and paper, cement, refining and chemical industries, ambient air monitoring stations,
regulatory and testing agencies, research agencies, as well as any industry which has in
its facility an incinerator fed by coal, natural gas, oil, or solid waste. Furthermore,
numerous biomedical and pathological waste incinerator monitoring systems were developed
and installed by AMKO across Canada. The technical experience of our principals allows us
to offer for the cement industry systems designed specifically for the harsh conditions of
the rotary kiln inlet and precalciner. Innovative monitoring solutions using a proven line
of analyzers include patent-pending total reduced sulfur (TRS) monitoring systems (pulp
and paper industry) and heated bypass systems for measuring dust concentration in
saturated exhaust gases, ideally suited for plants with wet scrubbers where conventional
opacity monitors are inappropriate.
In addition to our continuous gas measuring systems, AMKO carries an
extensive line of automated fluid injection analysis (FIA) systems for both laboratory and
industrial process monitoring and control. Process analyzers perform on-line real-time
measurement of chemical constituents in process and effluent streams used in both the
manufacturing of many chemical intermediates and environmental monitoring.
We keep abreast of the latest technological and regulatory developments
with respect to analytical equipment and emission monitoring. Our information resources
include the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) and the US EPA's
Technology Transfer Network (TTN). AMKO also participates in several professional
organizations such as the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA) and the Instrument
Society of America (ISA).
Our 52 years of expertise in continuous emission, process and ambient
air monitoring allow us to provide custom designed application specific systems
unsurpassed with respect to accuracy, quality, and reliability. Coupled with AMKOs
superior service, we offer the best solutions for any monitoring requirement.
