The FLOWSIC 100
Series from SICK is designed to conduct direct and non-contact measurements of gas
velocities and volumetric flows without the need for interfering installations in the
duct. With a broad range of device models SICK
offers the solution for a variaty of measurement tasks
Operating principle:
Ultrasonic convertors are mounted on both sides of
the gas duct at an angle to the direction of flow. These convertors alternately transmit
and receive sound pulses in and against the direction of the gas flow. FLOWSIC measures the propagation time delay of the pulses and uses this to calculate
the velocity of the gas - independant of the local pressure and temperature conditions.
Advantages at a glance:
 |
Direct and instantaneous
measurements in the process thanks to non-contact ultrasound measuring technique |
 |
Measuring results are
independent of pressure and temperature |
 |
Recording of gas temperature and
volumetric flow rate |
 |
Easy to install and extremly
reliable with low maintenance requirements |
 |
Flexible, user-friendly
parametrization with MEPA software |
